I, Myself, and Counter-Strike

CS terrorists

I’ve been a computer fanatic since I was 6 years old. I remember when my grandfather used to give me money and leave me for several hours at the arcade section of a department store. That started the road for me of eventually becoming a computer addict. I was in 4th Grade when I started playing PC games like Counter-Strike Beta. My favorite game is still Counter-Strike.

So what is it about Counter Strike that I like most? Counter-Strike, is the world’s number one online action game series.Counter-Strike (commonly abbreviated to CS) is a tactical first-person shooter video game which originated from a Half-Life modification by Minh “Gooseman” Le and Jess “Cliffe” Cliffe. The game has been improvised into a series since its original release, which currently includes Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike, STEAM.

Counter-Strike puts a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists. Each round is won by either completing the mission objective or pawning the opposing force. The game is almost entirely based on the multi-player experience. Bots can be added into the game for a single human vs AI game. The online-multiplayer option is activated via Steam.

Counter-Strike sourceAs a Counter-Strike fan I’ve been playing this game for almost 11 years and it’s still awesome today as it was from the day I first discovered it. It never gets boring as there’s always something new to do. Whenever I start playing this game, it’s almost always nearly impossible to stop. Before you realize it, most of your money is blown and so is a good part of your life. The game is very fun especially in tournaments.

The team who wins, is not necessarily the team who thinks they can. Counter-Strike is not a battle of wills, but a battle of skills. There were times when I’m glued to playing Counter-Strike all night. Back then, I felt awesome because Counter-Strike is one of the highlights for me.
